HOW DOES IT WORK?

NOTE: The best price discounts are available on generic substitutes for brand name products.

For Urgent-Care Prescription Drugs......

  • Employees participating in the company medical insurance plan may purchase urgent-care prescription drugs (i.e., those needed immediately) under the Admiral Urgent Care program. The complete list of what is covered immediately is included in this mailing for your reference. The local retail pharmacy of your choice needs your insurance card to bill these medications, which is only up to 14 day supply. Only meds on this list are covered locally. All other meds are considered non urgent and are covered only at ABC MedCare. Any meds purchased at a cash price at a local retail pharmacy may be submitted by paper claim to the insurance and reimbursed at 50% after deductible is met.

For Non-Urgent Care Prescription Drugs......

  • Employees participating in the company medical insurance plan may purchase urgent-care prescription drugs (i.e., those needed immediately) under the RxCare Wyoming pharmacy program. For more information on the Urgent Care Program refer to Urgent Care Pharmacy Brochure on the web.
  • Present prescriptions to ABC MedCare. Non-control prescriptions can be filled from a fax. However, ABC MedCare must receive the original prescription for pharmacy files or doctor can e-scribe. All prescriptions for controlled substances require us to have the written copy before it can be filled, unless e-scribed or called in direct for your doctor. If you absolutely need to get your prescription as soon as possible, have your doctor’s office call ABC MedCare.
  • Worland employee orders may be picked up at the ABC MedCare Pharmacy in Worland. All other orders will be sent to the employee’s Office Manager for pickup by the employee. Orders may be mailed to the employee’s home address, if so directed on the prescription, at the employee’s expense for mail. Employees unable to pickup their prescriptions directly from ABC MedCare Pharmacy in Worland should plan on 3 to 5 days for delivery.

For Prescriptions that are currently being filled at your retail pharmacy that you want filled at ABC Medcare......

  • ABC Medcare can perform a prescription transfer for you. The information required to transfer medications from a retail pharmacy to ABC Medcare is employee name, patient name, pharmacy name, pharmacy phone number, drug name, and prescription number. Be aware that these transfers take 7-10 days to be filled. Call 307-278-2720 to initiate.

HOW CAN I SAVE ON MY PRESCRIPTION COST?

Generic medications are a great way to reduce your prescription costs. If your doctor is willing to change to one of these products your co-pay will normally be significantly less than the co-pay for the more expensive brand name drug. Your doctor MUST okay this change.

Call the ABC MedCare Pharmacist to inquire about the most economical way to help your doctor order your medication. Most physicians are willing to prescribe with your insur-ance benefit in mind.

WHAT IF I HAVE QUESTIONS?

Employees and their doctors are encouraged to call ABC MedCare during business hours for information on available drugs, services, or prices. The pharmacist is available Monday through Friday, from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm.
